Russell Bacon is one of Australia’s leading cinematographers having worked on classic dramas such as Frankie’s House, The Magistrate, Brides of Christ, Joh’s Jury and Police Rescue.
Russell also shot the international SCI FI series Farscape, which quickly became a cult classic and a ratings success for the US SyFy Network. In 2002, Russell was awarded the ACS Golden Tripod for the classic My Brother Jack as well as Australian Cinematographer of the Year 2002 ‘Millie’ Award.
Most recently, he has photographed the top rating Seven Network dramedy Packed to the Rafters starring Rebecca Gibney and Erik Thompson; and all five seasons of Sea Patrol starring Lisa McCune for the Nine Network.
He is currently in production shooting the new drama series Wonderland for Network Ten.
